Coaching for Managers and Small Business Owners.
On paper you have everything you need to get the job done, but somehow there’s still a blockage. Training is vital but sometimes applying knowledge also requires a shift in attitude and behaviour.
The solution to these problems is not more training - it’s coaching.
What is it, and who benefits from it?
Coaching isn’t therapy, it’s not deeper training, and it’s not some sort of remedial intervention for failing managers. It’s about pinpointing a specific improvement, working (usually) on a one-to-one basis to nail the objectives that you prioritize.
I’ve worked with several directors, senior managers and a couple of small-business people to help them identify and address less helpful traits and behaviours, and to acquire skills that help them meet their obligations and achieve their objectives. Refreshing rarely-used skills is also a common request.
If there’s something like this that you’re currently working on, reach out to me via the contact form (above) and ask about coaching.
External supervision for directors and lone managers.
Not all senior managers have the support of a supervisor of their own. This can be challenging, especially for new senior managers who would still benefit from regular managerial support. Coaches like me are sometimes contracted to give that type of support when a CEO, board or committee is unable to provide it.
If this seems familiar, reach out via the contact form (above) to speak about external supervision for senior managers and directors.
Personal coaching.
Now I really don’t put myself forward as a personal coach often, but if it’s something you’d like to consider, drop me a line and we can discuss.
